It‘s our pleasure to kindly invite you to the 21st edition of an unique international festival of fireworks so called STAROBRNO IGNIS BRUNENSIS starting already this Saturday 2nd of June at Brno’s dam – just few meters from our hotel.
This year’s festival comes along with the celebration of 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia. Both domestic and foreign participants of the pyrotechnical shows will be enlivened by music that lasts two minutes. To make it part of the their performances incorporating the Czechoslovak features into the overall design.
The music that has been selected was Karneval by Antonín Dvořák, conducted by the director Jiří Behlohlávek, and performed by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. The epilogue, taking place over Spilberk castle, will be dedicated to the founding anniversary of the common Czech-Slovak state.
The participants joining the festival will be from France, Romania, Poland, without omitting the local Czech teams. All the participants of the competition have been chosen among the winners of European and worldwide firework competitions. The experience would be totally worth the trip.
All public viewports for fireworks are free for viewers. As every year, at Brno’s dam a comfortable paid area is built – A tribune with a seating capacity of 600 attendees, with a sound system for full experience.
